I have been an avid reader since the age of, what 6? I guess since I can read. There is always a stack of books on my bedside table and a whole bunch more on my kindle. I read fiction and non-fiction; award-winning and romance novels perfect for the beach. As long as the writing keeps me interested I’ll keep reading.
I went through 5 years of university to get an M.A. in English Literature, so my attention span for books that don’t keep me turning the pages is pretty low. I had to read too many of those back in the days… I only learnt to appreciate the Brontë sisters and Jane Austen after I graduated, and that’s probably my biggest grudge I still hold towards my professors: Why couldn’t you bring out their humor and strength?
I am currently reading The Four: The Hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google by NYU Stern School of Business Professor Scott Galloway. Galloway is also the Founder and Chairman of L2 Inc, a business intelligence firm that benchmarks digital performance of consumer brands. He is hosting a weekly 4-5 minute YouTube video of Winners & Losers in a Digital Age.
